Children who are enrolled in Marion City, St. Mary, Pleasant and River Valley schools are invited to join our before and after school program as members of the Dolphins class. Parents may bring their child to Epworth as early as 6 a.m. where children will receive breakfast. An Epworth, staff members will accompany the children as they are bussed to their schools on the Marion Transit busses. At the end of the school day, the Epworth staff will pick up your child once again using the Marion Transit bus. Snacks will be provided when they arrive back at Epworth and then they will begin working on homework. When the homework is complete, the children will have developmentally appropriate activities available to them.
When the public schools are closed, because of holidays or dangerous weather conditions, you can bring your child to Epworth. If there is a school delay for any reason you may still bring your child to Epworth at your regular time. We will provide extended free play activities until it is time to transport the children to school. If school is cancelled completely, we will provide lunch and all day activities.
